Political participation and the protection and civil and political rights and freedoms in the Great Lakes region face many political and security obstacles and tensions, particularly around the electoral cycles.

EurAc develops its expertise and conducts advocacy work urging the EU to enhance its policies in defence of the rule of law, the good governance and the respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
