EurAc - European Network for Central Africa, rue Stevin 115, 1000 Brussels - takes your privacy seriously and manages your data in accordance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Indeed, EurAc uses and collects personal data in order to send out newsletters, publications and event invitations, therefore, we collect personal data based on a legitimate interest, which is to carry out our mission and activities. Furthermore, EurAc does not sell, rent or trade personal data that it may collect for the purpose of its activities to other companies or businesses.   

 

Data collected

 

When you sign-up to EurAc’s bi-weekly newsletter EurAc Info, you are asked to provide your name and email address. This personal data is shared with a third-party company based outside the EU called MailChimp (owned by The Rocket Science Group LLC), whose system we use to send emails to our subscribers. Any data you provide is stored on secure servers by MailChimp. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, by directly clicking on “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the newsletter or by writing to info@eurac-network.org.

 

MailChimp is compliant with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework, which means they are certified to receive data from EurAc. When you sign up to an event EurAc (co-)organises at the European Parliament (EP), the EP security policy requires us to ask panellists and participants to provide their name, surname, date of birth, passport/identity card number, nationality and email address. The EP is compliant with the GDPR, which means they are certified to receive data from EurAc. Access to, rectification and erasure of your personal information
