Julie Capoulade

Julie Capoulade is Communication and Advocacy Officer at the European Network for Central Africa (EurAc) since March 2016 and she carries out internal coordination and external communications work, as well as contributing to  EurAc research and advocacy work, mainly on democracy, human rights, good governance and political participation issues. She holds the European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) from the European Inter-University Centre (Italy) and a master’s degree in Humanitarian Action and Crisis Management from Sciences Po Toulouse (France). She previously worked as European Campaign Assistant on migration with Amnesty International EU office, designing and implementing regional campaign strategies on migration at EU borders. She also worked as Project Assistant with Human Rights Watch working on the case against ex-president of Chad Hissène Habré.

 From 2013 to 2015, she worked as Communications Officer and Coordinator with Migrants Matter, a movement she co-founded raising awareness about migrant workers’ conditions.

Julie speaks French (native speaker), English and Spanish.
