Mission

EurAC is the European Network for Central Africa.

The network brings together 46 organisations active in Central Africa working for development or to provide humanitarian assistance.  These organisations come from 12 different European countries (see the list of members).

Our statutes detail our mission statement, our way of functionning and the membership modalities.

The network has three main tasks:

  • Advocacy
  • Information
  • Coordination and networking between members

Our lobby work is realised in two complementary directions. For the advocacy on the political level, it is based on the position paper, 'Think regionally, act practically', approved by the General Assembly of June 2004 (see the full text).
For the advocacy in the Development cooperation field, it is supported by another position paper, "Benchmarking for Regional Peace", approved by nearly 50 organisations in December 2005 (see the full text).

Funding

The EurAC network depends exclusively on the commitment and the support of its members. Their financial contributions allow the Brussesl-based secretariat to carry out its tasks of advocacy and information in full independence.
